Whether you’re a student, a teacher or even a parent, the back to school blues can hit before you know it. No matter what age you are or what grade in school, you’re not immune from a case of the back to school blues. After all, it can be a challenge to give up the fun of summer go back to the more regimented schedule of the school year. If you’re feeling a little down about going back to school {or your kids are}, here is what you can do to feel more positive.

  • Some parents swear by breaking the kids in gently. Adopt a more strict routine in the last few weeks of summer. This is actually a smart tip for anyone to follow. Before school starts, go back to a normal bedtime routine and work on getting up earlier too.   • Remember the good old list of pros and cons you used to make? If you’re struggling with the thought of back to school, start by listing the positives. If you’re a parent, help your child list the positives. You might list things like seeing friends, learning, and taking part in extracurricular activities.
