Let’s face it. The bathroom is a place where nasty odors happen from time-to-time, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. Aside from keeping things clean, how do you keep those nasty odors from taking up residence? There is a way to make your bathroom smell amazing, and it’s easy and inexpensive to do!

This little trick will help keep your bathroom smelling fresh year-round. The first thing you do is locate the heating/air conditioning vent in your bathroom. It may be on the ceiling, or it may be on the floor or wall, depending on your home and whether the bathroom is upstairs or down.

Grab a few cotton balls and some essential oil. The Pinning Mama recommends a purification blend because it does a great job at neutralizing odors all around the house. {I like the Clean blend from Cure Oils!}.

Put 3-5 drops of your chosen air purifying blend on each of three cotton balls. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the vent cover from your heating and/or air conditioning duct. Place the scented cotton balls just inside the duct. If your duct is on the ceiling, place the cotton balls on the inside of the vent cover and screw it back into place. Every time the air comes on, the air will blow over those scented cotton balls, blowing a purifying, fresh scent into the bathroom.
