How to Crochet Sandals

May 11, 2018 by Jackie Leave a Comment

Okay all you crocheters out there, let’s crochet sandals! Before we begin, if you need a refresher course on the art of crochet, check out our post on 20 Tips for New Crocheters. You’ll find lots of helpful information there!

These crochet sandals for women are perfect for warm spring and summer days when you would rather not be barefoot, but socks are too warm.

Why crochet sandals or flip flops? Well, because you can, and because it’s fun! And also because they’re unique and everyone will want to know where you got them. I think they’d make great “shoes” for the pool or foot protection from the hot sand at the beach! No matter the reason, have fun with this crochet sandals pattern.

Here’s what you need to crochet the sandals pictured above:

  • medium weight yarn in two colors
  • a 5 mm crochet hook
  • a darning needle

The following pattern given is for size 8 sandals. To see other sizes, you can access the free pattern here. Note that you will use your own foot to gauge the length of the straps. As you wear the sandals, the straps will loosen some, so make them snug to begin with.
