Do It Yourself Valentines Day Bath Bombs

December 21, 2017 by Jackie Leave a Comment

Bath bombs are one of the best things to give a girl for Valentines Day. It doesn’t matter if she’s your daughter, sister, friend, mom, BFF or one-and-only Valentine–she’ll love some Valentines Day bath bombs. Here are some great ways to give bath bombs for Valentines Day.

First of all, you need an amazing recipe for homemade bath bombs. Try this one featured on this post:

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salt
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 2 teaspoons essential oils
  • 3 teaspoons olive oil {for Valentines Day, try substituting almond oil}
  • food coloring

You will also need a bowl, a whisk, a bath bomb mold and a jar. For special Valentines Day bath bombs, I recommend a special mold like this one from Amazon.

Put all of your dry ingredients in a bowl, and use a whisk to combine it all well.

How to make bath bombs at homeNow mix all of your wet ingredients in a jar, including the desired oils and food coloring. For Valentines Day bath bombs, try an oil that is romantic in nature, such as lavender or geranium (geranium is my favorite!) Once the wet ingredients are thoroughly mixed, add the mixture a little at a time to the dry ingredients, and mix thoroughly between additions. After thoroughly combining the wet and dry ingredients, you are ready to press the mixture into your heart shaped molds.

To really finish off your DIY Valentines Day bath bombs, package them in cellophane and attach a cute label. You’ll find a free printable at Make Life Lovely.
