My daughter loves sharks.  She is obsessed and asked Santa to bring her one as a pet.  Here are a few really adorable boy (or in my case- girl) room ideas.  My daughter would love pretty much every one of these.  But they are “boy” themed rooms, if you will.  I don’t totally buy into that, so let’s just call them kids’ room ideas:)

Hanging Beds

These are actually cantilevered from the wall, but appeared to be hanging; you know, same thing. 🙂 Painted cedar plank walls, and ceiling beams really make the room pop and give it a look your kids will enjoy.

Walls

This is the same room as above and it is so, so cute. Painting the wall different colors on each piece of wood adds a fun burst of creativity to the room and makes it really exciting!

Themed

You can make the room any theme that your kids will love. This is a shark-themed room with a blue rock climbing wall! Great for the imagination and the body!

Wall Hangings

While the paint can really bring out a theme, so can some awesome wall hangings! If you’re going for a surfer/shark theme, then some surfboards on the wall are a great touch!

Furniture

Snowboarder room.  Where did they find that chair?! Some awesome furniture to the room can really bring the theme together and also give you (and your kids) a place to rest when they’re exhausted after a full day of school and playing!

Headboard

This is a hockey room and the headboard makes it! Headboards make the bed more comfortable, but if you add a little creativity, then you can use the headboard as a decoration as well!

Signs

Road signs, massive magnet board (metal sheeting on the wall)- This room is hazardously adorable for a boy.

Travel Theme

Is this not a really, really cute theme? It’s just a cars and travel theme that you can make with license plates and other street signs. Super simple and a great theme!

Planes

“Planes” themed room.  This is one of the cutest little boy rooms I have ever seen.  Adorable. Combine propellers, airplane stickers, and anything else to give a great plane theme! 

Magnet Board

That is metal in the top section of the wainscoting, so it is a magnet board.  I love it. And check out that wallpaper.  It looks JUST like riveted metal.

Superhero

Every kid loves at least one superhero! Get awesome wall stickers/motifs, bedding, and decorations to make your child’s bedroom feel like Gotham, Metropolis City, or any other superhero’s hometown! 

Wall Stickers

Now these things are just so cool! Spruce up any old room with some awesome wall stickers that add personality, color, and style! You can go for a zoo theme, or anything else that your children love!

Camoflauge

This idea may seem outlandish and expensive, but it actually doesn’t require too much work! The wood of the bed and dresser really tie in with the camo theme, which will get your kids excited for bedtime every night!

Video Game

Pac-Man may be a little outdated for your kids, but you can still do an awesome video game theme that your kids will love! Just choose a video game they love (like Mario or anything with fun characters and landscapes) and put it on the walls and bedroom!

Sports

The great thing about a sports theme is that you can go as big or as small as you need. You can just put up a few fatheads of your child’s favorite sports stars, or you can be like this bedroom and have the whole football and locker room!
